About Cerridwen:
Cerridwen is Celtic Goddess of the Sacred Cauldron who has prophetic power. She helps us to tap into our magick & activate the depth of our powers to share them with the world. From her sacred cauldron, she creates & offers magical potions of divine wisdom, transformation, & inspiration. She is a wise old soul, the crone within us that holds a sacred knowing. She can see past limiting beliefs, separation, & fear of others ~ holding unconditional love as a path back to unity. The cauldron is where all life is born, & reborn again & again.
The Witch Wound:
Throughout patriarchal history, the word witch has been distorted to have a negative connotation. According to Jenny Gibbons (a historian with an MA in medieval history & a minor in the Great Hunt), 9 million witches were burned over 300 years by the Church during the Inquisition. Women were prevented from gathering as this was said to be evil & satanic & they were pressured to rat out other women for basic spiritual practices like candle magick & gathering in circles outside. For centuries, women were killed because of their intuitive & healing abilities, leaving us with a deep witch wound today.
Cerridwen's imagery is that of the witch & part of this circle will focus on healing the witch wound.
All are welcome here:
To be clear, Goddess is no more a woman than God is a man. All are welcome here.
