About the Event
Tea Ceremony with Sam Pfotenhauer:
Each tea ceremony is a forty minute, silent, meditative practice led by Sam Pfotenhauer with time for sharing & community connection at the end. The tea is from Living Tea, which is sourced from China, Japan, & Taiwan. All of their tea is seed-grown in their native environment, free of any chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or weed-killers. The specific tea we will be enjoying in ceremony is a Shou Puerh blend grown & harvested in the 1990s.
Sam is a spiritual healer & trauma-informed life coach who holds tea ceremonies for herself 2-3 times per week as part of her personal practice. With deep appreciation for the sacred medicine of these leaves, she studied under tea ceremonialist, Christina Marie, to learn more about the art & tradition of serving tea. 🌱
Enjoying tea in ceremony allows you to both take part in an intentional ritual & drop into a state of mindfulness with more ease. 🧘♀️ Mindfulness: paying attention to the present moment on purpose, without judgement.
Forest Bathing to Follow:
After tea ceremony, you are invited to join for a two hour Forest Bathing experience directly across the street at the Russell Greene Natural Area with a trained forest therapy guide, Faarzein Muhmad. Forest Bathing tickets are sold separately. Learn more & sign up at:
